Bayswater is one of Central London's most elegant and cosmopolitans areas. Historic Bayswater's origins can be traced back to the Domesday Book of 1086 when it was known as Baynard's Castle. The area has been home to many famous and significant figures in British history, from Winston Churchill, Sting, Stella McCartney to Kiera Knightly.
Today, Bayswater hosts incredible architecture from Victorian residences to ultra-modern design. During the day all shopping tastes are catered for, from contemporary and well know shops complimented with unique and novel boutiques, Whitley's is a must stop shopping experience. The evening can satisfy the discerning palette with incredible fine dining through to traditional and continental dinning in the many restaurants and bars; why not try a traditional British Restaurant such as the Hereford or La Suite West for a unique vegetarian menu. Culturally the area offers many fine attractions including The Royal Parks of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens with the Serpentine Gallery and Princess Dianne's memorial playground. The Royal Albert Hall is a 5 minute walk offering fine entertainment and close by is Notting Hill, home to the world famous Notting Hill Carnival during August.
Bayswater offers many quality and Luxurious hotels and we can recommend: The Grand Royal or St James's Hotel and Club for our executive guests. For our business guests The Double Tree by Hilton in Hyde Park.
